Vanessa Ferlito (born December 28, 1980) is an American actress.
Ferlito, an Italian American, was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents who owned a local hair salon. Her father died when she was three years old.
Ferlito portrayed Claudia during 24's third season and had a small part in Spider-Man 2, but she is mostly known for her role as Detective Aiden Burn on CSI: New York. She chose to leave the show because, ironically, she wanted to go back to New York.
Ferlito gave birth to her first child in September 2007. She is a vegetarian, supporter of animal rights, and an active member of PETA.
Even though she is of Italian descent she often plays Hispanics on TV and film.
